Klaviyo is not your email strategy
Klaviyo is good software. Out of the box it does welcome flows, cart recovery, win-back, back-in-stock, post-purchase. Any store can turn those on in an afternoon.
So why is your email revenue flat?
Because a flow is a pipe. It needs something to move through it. Klaviyo builds the pipe. It does not write the emails, and it does not tell you who to send them to beyond the basics.
Three things Klaviyo won't do for you
The copy. Every month, someone has to write the welcome series in your brand's voice, the lifecycle emails tied to your actual products, the seasonal campaigns. That's ongoing work, not a setup task.
The segmentation. Klaviyo has basic segments. It won't tell you your top 12% of customers drive 40% of revenue and here's how to treat each bucket. That takes someone pulling the order data and running the numbers.
The rest of the growth stack. Klaviyo doesn't do SEO. It doesn't crawl your site to find where you're bleeding rankings. It doesn't touch your support or inventory.
You need someone driving it
The stores getting the most out of Klaviyo don't treat it as a tool they set up and forget. They have someone running it: monitoring, testing, writing, reporting. Most founders install it, build two flows, and never open it again because they're busy.
Klaviyo is the engine. It still needs a driver.
